Liv brings a warm and grounded presence to her work with clients, shaped by a deep belief in the
healing power of therapeutic relationship, authenticity, and self-discovery. She has a special
passion for working with clients navigating identity development, anxiety, trauma, perfectionism,
and life transitions. She offers a thoughtful and collaborative therapy space, where clients can
explore all parts of themselves with curiosity and care—no need to have it all figured out. Liv
has experience working with pre-teens and adolescents, emerging adults, and adults of all ages.
Drawing from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Internal Family Systems (IFS),
she helps clients build a more compassionate relationship with themselves, navigate emotional
challenges with courage, and take meaningful steps toward the life they want to live. Whether
clients are feeling stuck in old patterns or overwhelmed by inner critics, she helps them gently
reconnect with what matters most, deepen their sense of self-understanding, and move toward
more authentic, fulfilling lives.

Originally from Loomis, Nebraska – a town of just 400 people – Liv grew up surrounded by a
culture of connection, community, and care. She was actively involved in sports, journalism, and
volunteering. There, she had experiences that continue to inform her ability to build trust, show
up for others, and hold space for a range of emotions and identities. Her small-town upbringing
gave her an early understanding of the importance of belonging and how powerful it can be to
feel seen and supported, driving her to pursue her bachelor’s degree in psychology from the
University of Nebraska – Lincoln. Liv moved to North Carolina in pursuit of greater access to
education and clinical resources and earned a M.A. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from
Wake Forest University. She’s proud to call this city her home and to be joining a practice that
reflects both her values and her love for serving others.

Liv believes that therapy is a space where clients allow her the honor of their vulnerability. She sees her role not as the expert, but as a guide and collaborator—someone who helps hold the hard things with compassion, challenges the client’s assumptions, celebrates the small wins, and stays present through the full range of human experience.

In addition to her clinical practice, Liv learned how to put compassion into action as a listening ear working through college as a bartender. When she’s not working, Liv is almost always writing and reading—her bookshelves are full of everything from psychological research to high fantasy novels. Reading helps her stay curious, creative, and connected, both to her clients and to the world around her.
