Sharon brings two decades of experience in mental health, education, and healthcare leadership to B Balanced Counseling and Wellness. She believes that people already carry a deep inner wisdom and capacity for growth. Her work is grounded in a person-centered, relational approach, guided by curiosity, compassion, and respect for each person’s unique story.
In the therapy room, Sharon brings a calm, steady presence. She aims to create a space where clients feel seen, grounded, and hopeful–a space where all parts of their experience are welcomed without criticism or pressure to be anything other than who they are. She values the healing power of safe, trusting relationships and views therapy as a collaborative process, walking alongside clients rather than directing them.
Sharon works with individuals navigating a range of concerns, including life transitions, anxiety, and depression, as well as those who simply feel stuck or overwhelmed. She believes healing often begins when people have the chance to tell their stories honestly and discover strengths they may not yet see in themselves. Her own experience with the transformative nature of therapy informs the empathy and care she brings to this work.
Sharon earned her Master of Science in Organization Development from Queens University of Charlotte in 2012, where she focused on resilience in individuals and groups. She is currently pursuing her Master of Arts in Counseling from West Virginia Wesleyan College with a focus on clinical mental health counseling.
At the heart of Sharon’s approach is a deep respect for each person’s inner resilience. She strives to create an affirming and inclusive environment where clients feel supported, understood, and encouraged to move toward growth at their own pace.
