Christy approaches her work with a compassionate and authentic presence, grounded in the belief that healing is fostered through acceptance, insight, and a safe therapeutic relationship. She is especially drawn to supporting clients navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, eating disorders, and identity development. Her hope is to offer a space where clients feel deeply supported as they reconnect with their values, develop greater self-understanding, and continue to grow into the person they are becoming.

In her training and practice, Christy has worked with children, teens, and adults, helping clients through life transitions, strengthening emotional resilience, and cultivating deeper self-connection. While rooted in a psychodynamic perspective, she integrates a variety of evidence-based approaches, including Internal Family Systems (IFS), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). Drawing on trauma-informed care and Polyvagal Theory, Christy emphasizes the mind-body connection and believes lasting change arises from both insight and embodied safety.

Christy earned her bachelor’s degree in Education from North Carolina State University and her M.S. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. A native of the Triad, Christy is grateful to be rooted in Winston-Salem and is excited to serve the community she loves.
