Briana Lyndon (She/her/hers) comes to B Balanced from San Francisco, California! Briana embodies a steadfast passion for mental health and works to support her clients on their mental health journeys. She appreciates that therapy is not a one-size-fits-all profession, so she enjoys finding the method and flow that works for each individual client, couple, and family. A Licensed Marriage & Family Therapy Associate, Briana earned her master’s degree in Integral Counseling Psychology from the California Institute of Integral Studies located in the heart of San Francisco, where she lived for 8 years before relocating to Winston Salem in 2021.

Before moving to Winston Salem, Briana worked as a therapist at a Community Mental Health agency in Downtown San Francisco, serving a varied population. Through this work, Briana developed a deep appreciation for social justice, and she carries that into every aspect of her life. Her therapy framework is rooted in a feminist and liberation psychology perspective, which informs her work both with clients and in the world.

Briana is especially passionate about maternal mental health and has focused her education and training on supporting folks through their path to becoming the type of parents they want to be. Briana has completed advanced training in Perinatal Mental Health to support people through the prenatal and postpartum experience. This includes addressing issues such as infertility, loss, adoption, or simply the growing, stretching, and changing that happens as families bring new children into the world. A member of Postpartum Support International, Briana stays up to date on the current protocols for perinatal mood and anxiety disorders including postpartum depression and anxiety, and is currently working toward her Perinatal Mental Health Certification (PMH-C).

When she’s not working, she can be found hiking with her husband and two kids, tending to her garden, playing with her two lab puppies Theo and Max, or baking fresh loaves of sourdough.

Briana excels at understanding that life transitions can be difficult and overwhelming, and as a therapist she comes alongside her clients to provide support as they navigate transitions, cope with stressors, and come home to their truest selves.
